Committed to Safe and Healthy Travel

American Cruise Lines is fully operational and resumed domestic cruising in March 2021. Our health and safety protocols combined with our state and local partnerships have enabled us to provide safe travel experiences across the country. Since the beginning of 2021 we have operated hundreds of cruises with tens of thousands of guests in 31 states.

Health and safety has always been our top priority. For the 2022 cruise season our enhanced COVID-19 protocols will remain in place and will continue to be adapted to suit the requirements of each region travelled. Vaccines, tests, masks, enhanced cleaning, medical partnerships, and experience have all led to well established risk mitigation techniques. American Cruise Lines is in direct contact with all guests prior to each cruise and if any additional operating requirements become necessary, they will be communicated in advance of departure.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Guests are required to complete a pre-embarkation health declaration certifying their COVID-19 vaccination status. Guests are considered fully vaccinated if they have received the full regimen of doses required by the vaccine manufacturer and provide proof of vaccination. Vaccination requirements may vary by state and region travelled.

In the rare instance that a guest may be unvaccinated, that individual may be subject to additional testing and quarantine requirements that could affect their ability to travel or participate in the cruise, including the ability to explore ports of call or join organized events onboard or ashore. Any unvaccinated guest is advised that vaccines may become required with minimal notice prior to their cruise.

All crew members must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

All guests embarking on American Cruise Lines vessels must take a COVID-19 test as part of the boarding process. Tests will be conducted on the day of embarkation or upon check-in at the pre-cruise hotel (if applicable). Testing is conducted using antigen test kits and takes approximately 15 minutes to produce a result.

Each American Cruise Lines ship carries a Certified Medical Officer and has quarantine/isolation rooms available. American Cruise Lines has partnered with Vikand Solutions to provide medical services, including COVID-19 testing and coordination with medical facilities in each port of call.

Masks are optional aboard American Cruise Lines vessels.

American Cruise Lines COVID-19 operating protocols are subject to review and change at any time. This includes the possibility that these requirements be modified for operation in any state or region. These policies do not eliminate the risk. They are designed to reduce risk and slow the spread of illness by removing known transmission sources, increasing awareness, and speeding response time.
